European Technical Approval ETA-06/0081 |
ATLAS is the first Polish manufacturer whose External Wall Insulation system was granted an European Technical Approval ETA-06/0081. It is also the first approval for a External Wall Insulation system issued in Poland. It covers all products so far included in the systems known as ATLAS STOPTER, ATLAS STOPTER K-10 and ATLAS HOTER. As part of the approval procedure, dozens of tests were carried out, in line with the European Technical Approval Guidelines (ETAG 004). The actions undertaken were fully successful and on 29 May 2006 the Building Research Institute (ITB) in Warsaw issued the above mentioned document. This confirms the high quality of ATLAS-brand External Wall Insulation systems and indicates that they meet all relevant technical standards mandatory in the EQ countries and that they can be sold and used on the European market.
In April 2008 the Building Research Institute issued an amended version of the Approval ETA-06/0081. It has been extended to include the possibility to use, apart from standard expanded polystyrene boards, also elasticised expanded polystyrene boards, which are characterised by excellent soundproofing properties. It is a highly innovative solution, which makes the ATLAS composite insulation system the first polystyrene-based system that combines improved External Wall Insulation with soundproofing of external building walls.

ATLAS XPS system is the first Polish composite External Wall Insulation system that uses extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards as the External Wall Insulation material. The properties of the above mentioned insulating material make it suitable for External Wall Insulation of external walls with special consideration given to plinths as well as foundation and basement walls. Application of ATLAS XPS makes it possible to achieve a far more durable insulation, with excellent and stable thermal insulating properties, high mechanical strength and the insulating material that is completely resistant to water and biological factors. The new system is a state-of the-art technical solution for professional applications, aimed at demanding Clients. It is also fully compatible with ATLAS composite External Wall Insulation system using EPS polystyrene boards (described in ETA-06/0081), which - as required - makes it possible to combine different insulating materials on one faade.

European Technical Approvals allow their holders as well as customers to take full advantage of the common market of the European Union. A market, where - thanks to documents like ETA, amongst others - all obstacles have been removed to allow free transfer of goods, capital, persons and services. Furthermore, holders of European Technical Approvals are entitled to provide their products being components of systems with the CE marking. |
